Dark Web Sprouts Fake Vaccination Certificates

Feeling good now that you’ve got your vaccination against Covid-19?

Ready to travel?

Could be that the person in the seat next to you has a counterfeit “Vaccination Passport.”

Count on the dark web to sprout miscreants who are selling both vaccines and fake vaccination cards as reported by the BBC.

Vaccine prices range from $500 to $750 for each jab of the UK, Chinese, Russian or American vaccine (if the doses are in fact real), and fake certificates of vaccination run for about $150.

You can also get a “negative test” result sent to you overnight for a small fee. And, of course, you can use Bitcoin to pay for your fake ID.

Why the governments did not think that this would happen and create a government issued card is hard to imagine considering the creativity of those in the counterfeit world.
