Query: Who owns crowdfunding monies raised?
Raymond had cancer and his family needed help with the bills from the removal of his tumor.
So, a family member started a crowdfunding campaign for him on GoFundMe and raised $22,000 from caring donors.
However, the family member turned over only $4,000 and has not accounted for the rest.
GoFundMe was unable to help and the police said it was a civil not criminal matter. So now it looks like litigation.
Probably a matter of first impression for the courts.
