Craft Brewers Crowdfund To Buy Anheuser Busch

For years the craft brewers in the US have been battling Anheuser Busch.

And AB has been fighting back, sometimes on the edges of the law, like when they told their distributors not to carry craft beers.

Now, the craft Brewers Association has started a crowdfunding campaign to raise $2.13 Billion to buy AB (and shut them down?).

As their site says, it will only take “$653.37 from every US resident.”  And $2.3 million has been pledged so far.

No money is being collected now and all pledges get some swag. AB says it can take a joke, but it’s not clear that the campaign is one.
