Crowdfunding Monkey Business

Another reason why middle America is sick of Eastern liberals.

The photographer who created the so-called “monkey selfie” is crowdfunding. He’s broke from having to pay legal defense costs from the lawsuit filed by People For the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) who claimed that the monkey was the owner of the photo’s copyright since he putatively pressed the shutter button him-(her?)self.

A smart judge rejected this case but PETA is now appealing to the Ninth Circuit. They want the court to appoint PETA as the monkey’s administrator to handle of his royalties from the use of this important piece of intellectual property.
