Bad Crowdfunding Ideas

So, aside from outright fraud, there are a multitude of crowdfunding campaigns that are just a bad idea, stupid or wrong.

Huffpost Australia has cataloged a few, including:

  • the woman who asked for money to finance her US Green Card though she can’t control her own spending,
  • a phone charger shaped liked a man with the plug you-know-where,
  • a woman asking to fund her divorce and
  • a laser razor (which was suspended by Kickstarter).

So far, no perpetual motion machines (that I’ve seen).

But don’t forget goldfish on wheels.
