MoMI Crowdfunds to Save the Muppets in Manhattan

Saving pop culture one creature at a time.

The Museum of the Moving Image is crowdfunding to preserve the earliest Muppets from the career of Jim Henson (UMD alum, BTW).

Henson sold his company to Disney in 2004 for $78 million (a tidy sum back then) and his children continued the business under the Mouse umbrella. They did donate the puppets, however.

The MoMI has raised $82,555 of its $40,000 goal to date.
