Crowdfunding To Fight Seafood Fraud

Did you know that “almost 50% of the seafood samples tested in recent studies were fraudulent”?

Oceana dot org says “seafood fraud and species substitutions occur regularly, cheating consumers out of what they ordered and putting public health and the oceans at risk. In addition, seafood fraud allows illegally caught fish to be laundered into the legal seafood trade.”

Now, a Kickstarter campaign is trying to set up a global fish tracking system so you know what you are eating. The goals are respectable, the rewards are primarily good karma.
