Crowdfunding Site To Raise Bail Shuttered

The crowdfunding site JustGiving has shut down the campaign for Creighton basketball star Maurice Watson, Jr. that was started by his mother to help raise the $75,000 bail bond premium (10%) to get Watson out of jail.

Watson is being held on sexual assault charges based on a woman’s complaint and witness statements.

JustGiving closed the campaign after receiving numerous complaints and refunded all donations (~$5,000).

Watson and his family deny the charges.
