Crowdfunding To Use Old Drugs In a New Way To Help Cure Cancer

In first of its kind, Cancer Research UK and the British government have teamed up to crowdfund a new cancer treatment regimen using old cheap drugs repurposed to fight cancer in conjunction with the National Health System standard treatments.

Care Oncology Clinic is offering 10% equity for GBP350,000 so that it can prove that using drugs such as metformin, normally given to diabetics to limit glucose overload, statins, used to cut cholesterol, doxycycline, an antibiotic, and mebendazole, an antiparasitic drug will make high priced chemotherapy more effective.
