Truth Squad Crowdfunds Successfully

The election has been good for the news business contrary to claims of a dishonest press.

Politifact’s Truth Squad has crowdfunded over $100,000 in 16 days from over 1,000 contributors.

Both the New York Times and Washington Post have seen a flood of new subscriptions and have hired dozens of reporters.

The ACLU has reported over $24 million in new donations and Planned Parenthood saw a large increase in funds from contributors.

Politifact believes that its raison d’etre will continue for as long as the President remains in office.
