Adoption App Crowdfunding Campaign Suspended

Tinder for adoption?

Kickstarter has apparently suspended the Adoptly crowdfunding campaign which was seeking funds to develop an app that would match orphans with potential parents.

“If the kid or expecting mother likes you, it’s a match!”

The campaign had raised just $4,000 of its $150,000 target when Kickstarter pulled the plug.

Some people thought the quest was really just a hoax, as it sounds like something from SNL.

But some more good reporting from The Verge may have resulted in Kickstarter taking a second look.
