Civil liberties advocates are crowdfunding to overturn the “Snoopers’ Charter,” whose real name is the Investigatory Powers Act.
The Act will let the United Kingdom Government engage in bulk hacking, bulk eavesdropping and the ability to access all intimate personal information about British citizens.
“And it won’t just be accessed by the Home Secretary. Dozens of agencies – the Department for Work and Pensions, HMRC and 46 others – can now see sensitive details of your personal life.”
There is no opt out and everyone is potentially a target of the government.
