Don’t Let The Crowd Infect You

A crowd infection virus is now being seen by security experts called Popcorn Time.

It’s ransom ware that infects your computer by getting you to click a link or download a file. The nasty part is, that in order to get the thieves to unlock your data, you can choose either to pay them the ransom in bitcoin or share the ransom ware with two of your unsuspecting friends (who won’t be friends much longer).

Protect yourself by:

  • backing up your data,
  • don’t open suspicious emails or links,
  • update your virus protection software, and
  • if infected disconnect from the internet.
