Aussies Crowdfund Lyme Disease Treatments As Gov’t Denies It Exists

Although Australian health officials deny the debilitating disease exists there since it has never been found in tick tests, many Aussies have Lyme disease symptoms.

With no experience treating this illness in Australia, patients are forced to seek treatment overseas at huge costs. Many are crowdfunding their travel, hospital stays and medications as it is costing over AUD$80,000 for one trip.

One woman’s family has mortgaged their house to pay for it.

60 crowdfunding campaigns have raised over AUD$260,000 to pay for Lyme disease treatment over the past 12 months.
