Crowdfunding A Cancer Cure

Because of one of the biggest crowdfunding events in history, scientists have now linked a new gene to Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS).

Jon Huntsman has called for another crowdfunding challenge to defeat cancer.

But because cancer comes in many guises, he is seeking a number of smaller campaigns aimed at specific diseases.

His proposal, using social media: “Participants donate five dollars in the name of someone who has battled cancer. Then they tag five others and ask them to do the same through a photo or short video.”
