Crowdfunding In The Arab World

Zoomaal is a crowdfunding platform that seeks investments for innovators in the Arab world.

It’s site says that it is funded by four major Arab investors: Wamda (UAE), Middle East Venture Partners (MEVP, MENA), Hivos (Netherlands), Cairo Angels (Egypt), N2V (KSA), and Sawari Ventures (Egypt).

Project categories fall primarily within the liberal arts, “inventions,” “missions & endeavors,” and “live & social events.”

Funding is all or nothing and prohibited requests are typical. Fees are 5% and payment processing.

Zoomaal says it does diligence on the projects it selects to make sure they “are capable of creating such project.”
