Indiegogo Engages Manufacturer to Avoid Crowdfunding Failures

One of the biggest issues in crowdfunding is the inability of companies to deliver promised products on time due to manufacturing glitches.

Pre-sale crowdfunding portal Indiegogo has attempted to fix this problem by signing a deal with Arrow Electronics “to create a groundbreaking new crowdfund-to-production platform aimed at accelerating the pace of innovation for technology and Internet of Things (IoT) entrepreneurs.”

This will give “qualifying entrepreneurs” direct online access to Arrow’s design tools, engineering experts, prototype services, manufacturing support and even supply chain management… worth up to $500,000.”
