Film Crowdfunding For a Pre-Release Window

Film crowdfunding is about to change in order to finance larger budget pictures.

In addition to getting movie “swag” from the producers, the idea is to provide donors with a “fan window,” a right to see the movie before the general public with continued engagement during the period of production. If enough tickets are pre-sold (similar to foreign pre-sales), the producer would not need to find production financing through normal channels.
