Senate Finance Committee Passes Extension of Tax Write-off For Filmmakers

A large bipartisan majority the Senate Finance Committee last week passed a bipartisan package of more than 50 tax extenders that includes a 2 year extension to Sec. 181 permitting immediate write-off of film/television production expenses up to first $15 million of production costs incurred in the United States ($20 million if the costs are incurred in economically depressed areas in the United States).
